On the morning of February 5, 2026, Xie Qinghua, Deputy Director of the Torch Relay Department of the Guangdong Regional Executive Committee for the 15th National Games and the National Paralympic and Special Olympics (referred to as the "Provincial Executive Committee"), visited Xianhu Laboratory for an exchange. He specifically expressed his gratitude in a letter for the laboratory's outstanding contributions during the torch relay preparations for the Games, particularly for its support in facilitating the Provincial Executive Committee's technical assessment of green torch technologies, and presented expert certificates to the representatives of specialists involved in the related tasks.

During the preparation for the torch relay of the 15th National Games and the National Paralympic Games, in accordance with the requirements of the General Office of the Guangdong Provincial Government and the Guangdong Regional Executive Committee for the Games to expedite the assessment of the feasibility of green fuel torch technology, Foshan Xianhu Laboratory—acting as a provincial-level research institution—rapidly responded. It established a dedicated task force led by Professor Lu Chihua, Deputy Director of the Laboratory, comprising experts from various technical fields including Zheng Hao, Tang Haibo, Du Jianguo, Wu Youhua, Liu Guangyi, Liu Jianguo, and Zheng Kaidong. In collaboration with industry partners, the team conducted comprehensive analysis of hydrogen fuel torch prototypes, systematically compared the operational principles of high-pressure gaseous and solid-state hydrogen storage systems, and produced a research report on green energy handheld torch solutions for the 15th National Games. These efforts provided crucial technical support for evaluating green torch technologies for both events.
