On May 23, Wan Gang, vice chairman of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Chairman of the China Association for Science and Technology, visited Xianhu Laboratory. Laboratory director Zhang Qingjie Academician, strategic scientist Cheng Yibing Academician, executive deputy director Shi Siqing, deputy director Lu Chihua, Tang Haolin accompanied the research. Chairman Wan Gang listened to the introduction of the development of the laboratory, visited the science and technology exhibition hall and experimental building, and investigated the research and development of hydrogen core technology and ammonium-hydrogen fusion new energy technology on the spot.

In the science and technology exhibition hall, Chairman Wan Gang listened to the report on the construction of the laboratory since its establishment, and understood the innovative projects such as fuel cell engine system, fuel cell multi-pile common rail system, and hydrogen composite power system.

In the hydrogen vehicle exhibition area, Chairman Wan Gang had a close and in-depth understanding of the fuel cell vehicle jointly developed by Xianhu Laboratory and Dongfeng Motor, SAIC-GM-Wuling and other enterprises, and gave affirmation to the huge role played by the laboratory's fuel cell core materials during the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.

Chairman Wan Gang and his delegation learned about the research and development of proton exchange membrane, catalyst, fuel cell membrane electrode, stack, perovskite solar cell and other technologies and industrial transformation progress in the laboratory building.

Chairman Wan Gang spoke highly of the development of the laboratory, and encouraged the laboratory to firmly grasp the core technology in its own hands, to promote scientific and technological self-reliance, only to break through the "jam neck" problem, and strive to grasp the key core technology in its own hands.
