On February 28, 2024, the second Xianhu Technology Conference was held in Foshan Xianhu Laboratory. The conference was hosted by Foshan Municipal People's Government, Foshan Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, Nanhai District People's Government, Foshan Xianhu Laboratory.
More than 20 academicians of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering, including Gu Binglin, Chen Yong, Zou Zhigang, He Yaling, Jiang Desheng, Deputy Director of Guangdong Provincial Department of Science and Technology, Deputy Director of Guangdong Provincial Energy Bureau, leaders of National Natural Science Foundation High Technology Center, Foshan Municipal Government, Nanhai District Government, the main contractor Wuhan University of Technology and other units, more than 100 experts and guests from the business community attended the meeting.
Zhang Qingjie, President of Xianhu Laboratory and academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, delivered a welcoming speech on behalf of the host unit and introduced the guests.
This year's Xianhu Science and Technology Conference includes hydrogen energy and ammonia hydrogen new energy storage and transportation technology and equipment exchange meeting, Foshan Xianhu Laboratory and National Energy Key Laboratory Academic committee meeting, major research project conclusion review meeting, "Foshan Nanhai District to build hydrogen energy and ammonia hydrogen fusion equipment manufacturing 100 billion industrial cluster implementation plan (2024-2030)" conference, major cooperation project signing At the same time, the seventh meeting of the first council of Foshan Xianhu Laboratory was held.
The hydrogen and ammonia hydrogen new energy storage and transportation technology and equipment exchange meeting was chaired by Academician Gu Binglin and Academician Zhang Ze. The meeting focused on "storage and transportation", the key word of hydrogen energy industry development, invited 5 academicians and experts to conduct in-depth discussions on hydrogen energy technology, transport power, storage and transportation network, industrial equipment, etc., draw the next step of ammonia and hydrogen new energy storage and transportation technology and equipment path, and conduct research and judgment on the construction and development of hydrogen energy and ammonia-hydrogen fusion of new quality productivity.
Academician Li Jun, strategic scientist of Foshan Xianhu Laboratory, gave a report on "Basic Research and technological Innovation of ammonia-Hydrogen Fusion zero-carbon power".
Zou Zhigang, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and professor of Nanjing University, delivered a report on "Green Development of Hydrogen Energy under the dual-carbon Goal - Opportunities and Challenges".
Academician Cheng Yibing, strategic scientist of Foshan Xianhu Laboratory, made a report on "New progress of zero-carbon combustion technology and equipment for building ceramics Industry".
Xu Xun, President of the Life Science Research Institute of Huada Group, made a report on "Prospective Technology of genetically modified biological Hydrogen Production".
Professor Ming Pingwen of Tongji University gave a report on "Hydrogen Technology Innovation and Transport Power Development Situation".
At this year's Xianhu Technology Conference, Foshan Xianhu Laboratory signed cooperation agreements with China Building Materials International Engineering Group Co., LTD., China General Nuclear Power New Energy Investment (Shenzhen) Co., LTD. South China Branch, Guangdong Advanced Energy Science and Technology Laboratory Shanwei Branch, Mingyang Smart Energy Group Co., LTD., Shanghai Hydrogen Luan Technology Co., LTD., Foshan Nanhai District People's Government, etc. In-depth cooperation will be carried out around the establishment of a joint innovation and development center for ammonia-hydrogen zero-carbon combustion technology in the glass industry, the joint promotion of the development of the offshore wind-light-electric-hydrogen-ammonia industry, the joint construction of the hydrogen and ammonia new energy equipment and technology laboratory, and the joint investment in the establishment of the development and production company for electrolytic water hydrogen production equipment.
Wen Xi, Vice Mayor of Foshan City, Bian Shuguang, deputy director of High Technology Center of National Natural Science Foundation of China, and Liu Wensheng, deputy director of Energy Administration of Guangdong Province, delivered speeches at the meeting.
At the conference, Foshan Nanhai District officially released the "Implementation Plan of Foshan Nanhai District to build 100 billion industrial clusters of hydrogen energy and ammonia hydrogen fusion equipment manufacturing (2024-2030)", and announced the "roadmap" for cultivating 100 billion industrial clusters of hydrogen energy and ammonia hydrogen fusion equipment manufacturing. Xu Yongqiang, Standing Committee member of the South China Sea District Committee and Executive Deputy District Governor, made a detailed interpretation of the Implementation Plan at the meeting.
Previously, at the provincial high-quality Development Conference on February 18, it was mentioned that Foshan will list the ammonia-hydrogen fusion industry as one of the key points of the transformation of Foshan manufacturing energy, which is to support Foshan to achieve the goal of the next stage of manufacturing and promote the key areas of Foshan manufacturing output value from 3 trillion to 4 trillion. In December 2023, the Nanhai District Party Committee and District Government deployed the new energy cluster of hydrogen energy and ammoniac-hydrogen fusion, and issued the implementation plan at this Xianhu Science and Technology Conference.
During the meeting, Foshan Xianhu Laboratory strategic scientist Cheng Yibing Academician, Lu Chihua deputy director, Nanhai District Development and Reform Bureau Director Zhang Jiayu and Nanhai District Science and Technology Bureau Director Xue Peihua accepted media interviews.
Academician Cheng Yibing, a strategic scientist at Xianhu Laboratory, said that the key to creating new quality productivity is to rely on scientific and technological innovation to promote economic development. The ammonium-hydrogen fusion zero-carbon combustion technology being promoted by the laboratory is a common technology of high-temperature manufacturing industry. With the decline of zero-carbon fuel prices and the gradual maturity of this technology, equipment manufacturing and enterprises in the whole industry chain from upstream preparation to midstream storage and transportation to downstream applications will gain significant development opportunities and promote economic development. The current government has high hopes for the development of the ammonia and hydrogen fusion industry, and the laboratory will also live up to expectations and fully support the upgrading of the manufacturing industry.
Lu Chihua, deputy director of Foshan Xianhu Laboratory, said that the next laboratory will focus on the next generation of fuel cell key materials and system technology and other aspects of in-depth research, to help Foshan lead the promotion of Guangdong fuel cell vehicle demonstration application city cluster construction.
Foshan Xianhu Laboratory, as a laboratory in Guangdong Province, a strategic science and technology force in Foshan, and a science and technology innovation hub in Nanhai District, has always adhered to serving the high-quality development of local economy as the fundamental, supporting local industrial development with scientific and technological innovation as the core, and further supporting the development of hydrogen energy and ammoniac-hydrogen fusion new energy industry.

From February 29 to March 1, the laboratory organized a number of research and enterprise exchanges, in-depth docking with the enterprises at this meeting, accelerate the landing of contracted projects, and explore new cooperation opportunities and projects.

The conference will be broadcast simultaneously in separate venues. Xianhu Laboratory researchers and some business guests attended the meeting in the sub-venue. The conference also exhibited the latest achievements and products of some hydrogen energy enterprises in the South China Sea region.
