The seventh meeting of the first Council of Foshan Xianhu Laboratory was held in Foshan Xianhu Laboratory on February 28, 2024.

Zhang Qingjie, chairman of Foshan Xianhu Laboratory and academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, presided over the meeting. Representatives of Foshan Municipal People's Government, Wuhan University of Technology, Foshan Nanhai District People's Government and other governing units attended the meeting.

The meeting listened to the Foshan Xianhu Laboratory executive deputy director, Party secretary Shi Siqing on the laboratory 2023 work summary and 2024 work points, the laboratory 2023 financial accounts and operating period budget, laboratory investment projects to follow the investment management measures and other issues.

The meeting listened to the report of Lu Chihua, deputy director of the laboratory, on the implementation plan of Foshan Xianhu Laboratory operation period.

The meeting voted unanimously to submit the topic to the laboratory.

From 2024, the laboratory will officially enter the operation period, and simultaneously promote the construction of the national energy research and development innovation platform. The laboratory will focus on the goal of building a "double excellent laboratory" (that is, building an excellent "Key laboratory of Hydrogen energy and ammonia-hydrogen fusion new energy technology" and the goal of building an excellent provincial laboratory), and strive to break through a number of core technologies in the field of hydrogen energy and ammonia-hydrogen fusion new energy, help form new quality productivity, and make greater contributions to the national "double carbon" strategy and regional high-quality development.

Wang Fazhou, vice president of Wuhan University of Technology, Deputy Mayor of Nanhai District Wang Yong, Deputy Mayor of Foshan City Wen Xi and Mayor Bai Tao all spoke and said that they would fully support the construction of the "double excellent laboratory".
