Tsinghua students praised Foshan city for its rich history and culture and the many opportunities it offers young people during their 2024 winter vacation practice, Foshan Daily reported. The city has developed high-end manufacturing. As part of the "Tsinghua Students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Greater Bay Area Regional Tour", nearly 20 Tsinghua teachers and students visited local enterprises and innovation platforms, and experienced Lingnan culture. On January 30, they visited the Fairy Lake Laboratory.。

Students experience traditional culture, advanced manufacturing and technological development in Foshan. Du Junwen, from Tsinghua University, was impressed by his hometown's emphasis on technology and considered working in Foshan in the future. Wu Haowen, a student from Taiwan, believes that Foshan is an ideal place to work and live because of its rich culture and developed manufacturing industry, and the development opportunities on the mainland are the key to his choice of work location.

Guan Xiaozhuang, a teacher at the Career Development Guidance Center of Tsinghua University, praised Foshan as a major cultural and scientific research city, and urged talents to integrate personal growth into the city and national policies. Since Tsinghua and Foshan jointly established the Advanced Manufacturing Research Institute in 2018, the cooperation between the two sides has deepened, and entrepreneurs and experts have exchanged hands. The institute has facilitated school-enterprise cooperation of 150 million yuan, and a number of industrialization projects have landed in Foshan.
