Li Jun Member



    Li Jun, professor of Tsinghua University, Memberof CAE. He was born in Jilin Province in March 1958. He graduated from Automobile College of Jilin University of Technology with a doctor's degree in 1989. He worked at FAW in the same year. He has successively held the posts of chief engineer of FAW Technology Center, director of the Technology Center, chief engineer of FAW Group, etc. He joined Tsinghua University in March 2018. He used to be the chairman of the International Federation of Automotive Engineers (FISITA), and now is the chairman of the Chinese Society of Automotive Engineers.

    He has long presided over the independent product research and development and scientific and technological innovation of FAW Technology Center, built a domestic leading independent research and development system and capability, and completed a number of major product replacement research and development projects and national 863, 973 and major equipment model development projects. Presided over the research and development of FAW Jiefang brand heavy commercial vehicle series diesel engines, independent high-pressure common rail electronic control system products, invented dual rail electronically controlled variable injection law high-pressure fuel injection system and air driven urea injection NOX emission post-treatment system, and achieved industrialization; Presided over the research and development of FAW Hongqi brand direct injection supercharged gasoline engine straight 4, V6, V6 and V12 series products, and the first domestic P2 plug-in hybrid powertrain product based on DCT dual clutch automatic transmission; Presided over the development of the third generation high mobility tactical MV3 vehicle platform in China; Put forward the "Zhitu" technology strategy and technical route of FAW intelligent network connected vehicle, presided over and completed the prospective pre research and development of Hongqi L3 automatic driving prototype vehicle and smart city intelligent vehicle.

    He has won 1 first prize and 1 second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, 1 second prize of the National Technology Invention Award, 3 special prizes and 2 first prizes of the China Automotive Industry Science and Technology Progress Award, 2 first prizes and 1 second prize of the National Machinery Industry Science and Technology Progress Award, won the Heliang Heli Science and Technology Innovation Award in 2012, obtained 9 authorized patents, published 98 papers and 1 monograph, and was elected as an academician of the CAE Member in 2013.
